Hi, I'm Valerie!
Before I discovered the power of the mind-body connection, I spent years as a Certified Athletic Therapist treating everyone from children to Olympic athletes. Despite all the advanced treatments I used, I kept seeing the same frustrating roadblocks—both with my patients and in my own life. I struggled with chronic headaches, neck pain, and gastrointestinal issues that just wouldn’t go away, no matter how hard I tried.
My journey took a dramatic turn in my mid-thirties after a series of health challenges, including postpartum hemorrhage, skin cancer, and the sudden end of my marriage. Despite following every medical and physical therapy approach, nothing seemed to relieve my symptoms. I felt defeated and desperate for answers.
That’s when I discovered the powerful connection between the mind and body. Through my studies of mind-body medicine pioneers like Dr. Sarno, Dr. Schubiner, and Dr. Gordon, I learned how emotional stress, thoughts, and beliefs play a crucial role in chronic pain.
